Across Longspee Academy and Ambitions Academies Trust, we are committed to ensuring the safety of children, and promoting that which will best support children’s welfare.

All staff, governors, volunteers and visitors work together within this commitment to maintain a vigilant and safe environment. Our willingness to work within a robust, open and reflective frameowrk for safety, ensures high vigilance and awareness for the school community.

All members of our Safeguarding Team are trained to Level 3 Safeguarding Children standards. All staff at Longspee Academy are trained to Level 2 Safeguarding Children standards, have regular Safeguarding training and understand their role in protecting children.

E-Safety and Prevent Champion: 

Hello, my name is Mr Robins and I am the E-Safety champion for Longspee Secondary. It is my role to make sure that all students know how to stay safe online and know who to ask if they need help regarding online safety.

My role as E-safety Champion is to ensure that we are aware of the risks that we may face online, while we want to enjoy the benefits of social media and technology, we need to be SMART and SAFE.

Anti-Bullying Champion: 

Hello, my name is Ms Smith and I am the Anti-bullying champion  at Longspee Secondary.

I am here to assist with anything bullying related, wheter it’s a concern, an incident or you would just like a little more information about bullying, Iam here to help.

All staff and students within the school have a responsibilty to act upon bullying. If you see, hear or feel like you are bullied make an adult aware and come to find me.
